Just a quick post to announce that Tooq has hired Richard Fantin as the first non-founder employee. Richard will be starting with Tooq in earnest on July 1, but will be taking a few meetings before then to help get ramped up.
Richard has spent the last two years working on an automated stock trading program for a company in Edmonton. Before that, he worked on multiple projects for Coralwood Technologies, another Edmonton company, owned by a friend of mine.
I’m looking forward to working with Richard and to his getting started. He will likely start with some additional features that have been planned for Molloy (the invoicing program) and then move on to the architecture and implementation of our recruiting application, Watt.
Thanks to all the candidates that interviewed for their time. Edmonton has a lot of talent looking for work right now. If your thinking about hiring a developer in YEG, I have to say that there are some good prospects out there right now. In fact, if you are looking for talent, let me know as I offered to keep my ears open for some of the candidates I interviewed and I can put you in touch.
Welcome aboard Richard!
